Ohio Hospital for Psychiatry Names New Medical Director
November 21, 2011: Ohio Hospital for Psychiatry has named Richard Nockowitz, MD, as Medical Director. Dr. Nockowitz received his medical education at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York, followed by training at Harvard Medical School’s Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. There, he completed a Clinical Fellowship in Medicine, a General Psychiatry Residency, followed by a Fellowship in Consultation Psychiatry. Dr. Nockowitz has expertise in the areas of the medical-psychiatric interface, neuropsychiatry, dementia and delirium, and complex partial seizures, and has authored numerous book chapters on depression and suicide, psychopharmacology, and enhancing patient compliance. Most recently, he founded My Psychiatric Partner, LLC, a telemedicine service that utilizes videoconferencing to provide psychiatric care in various medical settings and directly to patients at home. Dr. Nockowitz serves as the Medical Director at Ohio Hospital for Psychiatry and also provides inpatient geriatric psychiatric services at Ohio Hospital for Psychiatry.
