Ohio Hospital for Psychiatry

Support and contact with loved ones is an important part of treatment.

If someone you love is seeking treatment at OHP, you should feel proud that they’ve taken steps to help themselves at an excellent mental health treatment facility. Your friend or family member needs your love and support – and visitors are welcome and encouraged.

The following are useful and thoughtful gifts that are appropriate to bring:

  • Books and magazines
  • Flowers in non-breakable containers
  • Writing materials and stamps
  • Personal toiletries in non-breakable containers

For the safety of our patients, please be aware that food, alcohol, tobacco products, medications, valuable items, or items that are glass, sharp, flammable, or unsafe are not permitted. 

Visiting Hours

Adult Visiting Hours:
Everyday- 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM

Senior (Generations) Visiting Hours:
Everyday - 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM

Phone Hours

Adult Phone Hours:
Daily - 10:00 AM to 10:15 AM
3:30 PM to 4:00 PM
9:00 PM to 10:00 PM

Cordless telephones are available for patient use. Patients are not permitted to have personal cell phones and visitors will be asked to leave their phones with hospital staff during visits.

As a patient at our facility, your privacy is paramount. We are required by both federal and state law to maintain the privacy of your protected health information.

We will not release any confidential health information about you or your treatment without your explicit consent.
