At Ohio Hospital for Psychiatry, our children's program is dedicated to understanding the needs of young children and pre-teens. It is a time of transition and growth, and sometimes, turmoil. The youth of today face many challenges, and even young children are experiencing emotions for which there are no clear answers.
Our Children's Program focuses on the emotional and behavioral needs of children from the ages of 4-12. In an inpatient setting, our physicians, therapists, and caring team of staff members, work with your loved one to achieve the best possible results.
Our Children's Treatment Program Includes:
- Individual therapy session with the psychiatrist
- Individual and family sessions with the social worker
- Individualized discharge planning
- Life skills groups with nursing staff
- Recreational therapy
- Art therapy
- Music therapy
- Horticultural groups
- Group discussion on variety of topics designed to help clients manage symptoms
