Ohio Hospital for Psychiatry's adolescent program helps adolescents (ages 13-17) with emotional issues and behavioral issues. If your teen needs help, we are here 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The Adolescent Program Includes:

  • Individual therapy session with the psychiatrist
  • Individual and family sessions with the social worker
  • Individualized discharge planning
  • Life like skills groups with nursing staff
  • Recreational therapy
  • Art therapy
  • Music therapy
  • Horticultural groups
  • Group discussion on a variety of topics designed to help clients manage symptoms

Some Symptoms to Look For:

  • Defiant behavior
  • Aggressive behavior
  • Behavioral problems
  • Isolation from loved ones and friends
  • Self mutilation
  • Suicidal thoughts
  • Preoccupation with death
  • Decline in academic performance
  • Changes in relationships
  • Drug or alcohol use
