Ohio Hospital for Psychiatry's adolescent program helps adolescents (ages 13-17) with emotional issues and behavioral issues. If your teen needs help, we are here 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The Adolescent Program Includes:
- Individual therapy session with the psychiatrist
- Individual and family sessions with the social worker
- Individualized discharge planning
- Life like skills groups with nursing staff
- Recreational therapy
- Art therapy
- Music therapy
- Horticultural groups
- Group discussion on a variety of topics designed to help clients manage symptoms
Some Symptoms to Look For:
- Defiant behavior
- Aggressive behavior
- Behavioral problems
- Isolation from loved ones and friends
- Self mutilation
- Suicidal thoughts
- Preoccupation with death
- Decline in academic performance
- Changes in relationships
- Drug or alcohol use
