About Ohio Hospital for Psychiatry
Ohio Hospital for Psychiatry provides a full continuum of behavioral and educational services to the youth of central Ohio and surrounding areas. This facility is located just south of downtown Columbus on Greenlawn Avenue.
Ohio Hospital for Psychiatry employs a number of methods to ascertain its success in helping at-risk young people. Evidence-based methods and proven assessment instruments are used to measure both progress as well as satisfaction with treatment.
Through the implementation of principles of the Collaborative Problem Solving model, we teach children how to recognize their triggers and problem-solve to produce a different outcome. This unique model is utilized by all staff and taught to each client.
It is our belief that all children will do well if
they can. The reason they have continued to struggle is because they
lack the cognitive
skill set in one or more of the three areas:
- Flexibility/adaptability
- Emotional regulation
- Problem-solving
